Concorde here we come!

Even though we are spending the bulk of our holiday in Spain, our choice was to fly in and out of Paris.

All four of us agreed that we needed some more time in this wonderful city. It also means we can nip up to Den Haag for a few days with the Cohens too (not something easily done from Perth) and we plan to enjoy a day trip to Reims for champagne tasting, not sure how that missed the itinerary last trip!

Thankfully my airline stalking via Skyscanner found a great set of fares with Singapore Airlines that took us the most direct way to Paris from home.

Baz and I were suprised to see the Concorde on display when we landed at CDG in 2013, so here we come again old friend..... Especially as we overnight at the airport our first night. Apparently the hotel rooms loook over the runways- it's a sleepover with la Concorde!

22 Sleeps!

Ok now we are at the pointy end of the countdown!

Baz says I am not allowed to pack any bags just yet, but I have at least done a print out of all of our travel bookings and boarding passes so I can check all the bookings. I have also loaded everything to Tripit but I still like a hard copy just in case.

I have yet a couple of nights to book in Seville and make arrangements for travel from Biarritz to Bilbao but other than that we are good to go.

Now to get the house sorted for the Brandon Hickeys to come and stay with Missy, and get all my work tidied up- that will keep me busy for sure!

The Countdown....

So those of you who know me, know that I have been counting sleeps for quite a time now! The good news is that we are now only 37 away from boarding flights to Europe again. My evenings have been spent browsing Airbnb and Bookings.com to decide where we will visit and what to see. Watching the travels of our friends the Day family and the Melville-Nelsons has certainly offered much inspiration and now we can't wait to start our own adventure.
