Barcelona

What's not to love about a city that has a wine dispenser in the supermarket and a kids playground in the Desigual store? Shoppers heaven!

We arrived by plane from Bilbao, dropped our bags at the apartment and wandered out to find lunch and get our bearings.... Pardon the pun hehe

After checking out Desigual we stopped for a beer next to a tiny park so the kids could have a romp, and met the cafe owner who was originally from Melbourne! She has lived in Barcelona for 30 years and her recommendation for the city was just to explore on foot.

Lunch was tapas style at Bar Lobo, part of a restaurant group in Barcelona that has lots of different restaurants, a couple of which we had been recommended to try by a foodie mate in Perth. Happy cooincidence that we stumbled across it. Amy ripped through a bowl of mussels in cream- her new favourite thing to eat!

Our apartment is right near Plaza Catalunya, literally the centre of Barcelona. There is a great window seat perched over the street where I am sitting now watching the city life roll by.
